Description
Main Function: Assist and supports the diet office daily function, including; answering phones, data entry, special computer office projects, maintaining computerized records.

Required Job Specific Competencies: Demonstrates skill in customer service, exhibits excellent oral communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to work independently and is able to exhibit flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.



Requirements
Qualifications:

o Required - Strong clerical skills and office management skills: ability to work independently and maintain confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word, McKesson, 6N and CBORD. Ability to accurately type.

o Preferred - Diet office experience and knowledge of special diets and consistencies.

Education:

o Required: High School Graduate or equivalent

o Preferred: Business/secretarial Associate degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

o Required - one to five years experience in health care setting.

o Experience handling customers within a health care organization
