POSITION SUMMARY: Performs general to advance inspections and service throughout the hospital network. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals. May be required to work other shifts as well as rotating schedules and overtime. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience and knowledge of the JCAHO, EOC Standards is helpful. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills to specific area of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrates mechanical, electrical and/or electronic dexterity and ability. Demonstrated an ability to read and interpret blue prints or schematic drawings. Maintains a general knowledge of applicable codes and regulatory related issues. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS: Intermittent to frequent exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions. Many tasks are detailed, repetitious and slow. Must meet deadlines. Belongs to Exposure Class I which involves routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Medium work: must be able to lift, stoop, push, pull. Stands or walks most of the shift. Some handling and pushing of equipment required. WORK CONTACT GROUP: All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, and various regulatory and professional agencies. SUPERVISED BY: Coordinator SUPERVISES: N/A CAREER PATH: Coordinator or other management levels.
